-
Project production officially begins with the selection of the material.
-
Rough sawn lumber is purchased and brought to the shop. This lumber needs to acclimate to the shop's temperature and humidity prior to any milling. This is in efforts to reduce any unwanted movement in the wood.
-
The lumber is milled to ensure square faces and edges.
-
Most of the parts are then cut to size and shaped.
-
Parts are assembled and dry fit to ensure everything fits properly.
-
The carcass begins to take shape as parts are then glued together.
-
A lot of joinery is cut by hand. Here, the top is affixed to the base with hand cut through mortise wedge tenons.

-
Sizing doors. In most cases, parts are cut oversized to ensure a proper fit is established by hand.
-
Sizing back is done in the same manner as the doors.
-
Doors and back are made by gluing rails and stiles and fitting a floating panel.
-
Fitting doors. The doors are then installed and adjusted to fit the opening perfectly.
-
Hardware is installed, and finish is applied. The piece is ready for delivery after the finish cures.
